About Black Friday
Black Friday is the Friday after US Thanksgiving, which makes it November 27 in 2026. It began as a US shopping day. Canadian retailers adopted it in the early 2010s as shoppers crossed the border or went online for US sales. Canadian Thanksgiving falls in October, so Canadian stores tend to begin their sales earlier in November and run them for several days.
Travel companies joined in. Airlines, tour operators and online travel agencies now run Black Friday weekend sales, and in recent years Canadian vacation packagers have promoted all-inclusive packages to Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America as part of them. Each company announces its own dates and terms, so some sales start before the Friday and others carry on through Cyber Monday or Travel Tuesday.
A Black Friday headline is only useful if the trip underneath is one you want. Discounts are usually quoted as "up to" a percentage or an amount per couple, and they apply to selected resorts, room types and departure dates. TripRadr lets you set your own resort, dates and departure airport and shows what each travel site charges for that exact package, so you compare real totals instead of headlines.
How to compare
A good Black Friday deal is one that is still cheapest after you line it up against the same trip on other sites. Four steps keep the comparison fair.
Pick your departure airport, destination or resort, date and number of nights in the search above.
TripRadr shows the same resort and dates priced across Canadian travel sites, in CAD per person for two adults.
Look at the board plan, baggage, transfers and taxes on each site, because two prices are only equal if the trip is.
Choose the site you prefer and book with them. TripRadr takes no bookings and adds no fee.
Before you book
A percentage off a high starting price can still cost more than another site's regular price. Compare the all-in total for the same trip.
Sale offers can limit departure dates, resorts and room types, and some cannot be combined with other offers.
Deposits, payment deadlines and cancellation or change terms differ by site and by promotion. Confirm them before you pay.
Sales often continue over Cyber Monday and Travel Tuesday, sometimes with new terms. Run your search again before you decide.

Read what each sun destination is like and when it is at its best, then compare packages for the one that fits.

Five shopping events fall between early November and the end of December. Each has its own page with the same side-by-side comparison, so you can plan which sale to watch.
A sale price only helps if it lands on a date that suits you. Best Time to Go shows the lowest price for every day of a month on routes from your airport, so you can see whether the Black Friday price is really a good one.
Who we compare
TripRadr does not sell trips. It lines up the same package from several Canadian travel sites so you can see who is cheapest for your dates, then you book with the site you pick. Read how each one works first:

Yes. In recent years Canadian airlines, tour operators and online travel agencies have run Black Friday weekend sales that include vacation packages. Each company sets its own dates, resorts and terms, and TripRadr does not publish or guarantee any company's offer. Check the travel site for the current terms.
All-inclusive packages to Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America are the most common vacation packages to see promoted, along with flights, hotels and tours. Offers usually apply to selected resorts and departure windows, often covering winter, March Break and spring.
Compare the total price for the same resort, room type, board plan, dates and departure airport on more than one site. Then check the price against what that trip cost in the weeks before. TripRadr's package search and Best Time to Go calendar give you both comparisons.
There is no rule that works every year. Cyber Monday and Travel Tuesday often bring repeat or extended offers, but terms can change and the best rooms and dates for peak weeks can sell out. The safe approach is to compare the current price for your trip across sites and book when it suits your budget.
A vacation package normally bundles return flights and a hotel stay. Transfers, baggage and meals depend on the package and the travel site, so check what is included before you compare totals. Prices on TripRadr are in Canadian dollars, per person, for two adults.
No. TripRadr is an independent comparison site. When you choose a price you go to that travel site and book and pay there. TripRadr adds no fee and is not affiliated with the travel sites it compares.
