About Mexico

Why visit Mexico?

Mexico has more resorts in our list than any other sun destination, spread across both coasts. Flights from many Canadian cities are direct and relatively short, and most resorts sell all-inclusive rates, so a package is an easy way to fix the cost of a week away before you leave home.

With so many resorts and several travel sites selling them, the price of the same resort for the same dates can vary. TripRadr lets you search once and see those prices side by side.

  • Two coastsCaribbean beaches around Cancún and the Riviera Maya, or the Pacific at Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta.
  • History and cultureMayan ruins, colonial towns and cenotes within reach of the beach.
  • All-inclusive choiceThe largest range of resorts in our list, from family favourites to adults-only.
  • Easy to reachDirect flights from many Canadian cities, often under five hours.

When is the best time to visit Mexico?

Winter is the main season on both coasts, but the right month depends on where you go. Here is what to expect:

  • December to April

Dry and sunny on both coasts. The busiest and most expensive stretch of the year.

  • May to June

    Great value

Hot, quieter beaches and lower package prices before summer.

  • July to August

    Hot and lively

Peak summer heat with school-holiday travellers. Sargassum can affect some Caribbean beaches.

  • September to November

    Lower prices

Rainy season and hurricane risk on the Caribbean coast, with the lowest prices.

Light clothing, swimwear, sunscreen, reef-safe products for cenotes and a light jacket for evenings.

Frequently asked questions

Mexico travel FAQ

Which part of Mexico is best for a package from Canada?

It depends on what you want. Cancun and the Riviera Maya are the most common on the Caribbean coast, and Los Cabos or Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific. Compare transfer time and beach type for your resort.

Are Mexico packages all-inclusive?

Many are, but not all. Check the meal plan shown on the travel site before you book.

Why do two sites show different prices for the same Mexican resort?

Travel sites buy and package flights and rooms differently, and they may include different room types or flights. TripRadr shows them side by side for the same dates and departure airport.

Can I book through TripRadr?

No. TripRadr does not take bookings. You book directly on the travel site you pick.
