About Travel Tuesday

What is Travel Tuesday?

Travel Tuesday is the Tuesday after Cyber Monday, which is December 1 in 2026. The name is generally credited to the travel app Hopper, which popularised it around 2017 after looking at its data for the days after Thanksgiving. It is not an official holiday. It is a promotional day that the travel industry uses to follow the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales with offers made for trips.

The day usually covers flights, hotels, vacation packages, cruises and tours. Many offers start earlier in the week, or even before Black Friday, and run until Travel Tuesday, while others begin on the day. For Canadians looking at all-inclusive packages, it is often the last day of a run of sales, so it is a useful point to compare what you have seen over the previous days.

Because many travel sales are repeats of earlier ones, the useful question is not whether a deal is advertised on Travel Tuesday but whether it is the best price for your trip. TripRadr compares the same package across Canadian travel sites, so you can see who is lowest for your resort, dates and departure airport.
