How Scotiabank Passport earns and redeems rewards

| Other grocery, dining, entertainment and daily transit | 2x per $1 |
| Hotels, car rentals and Things to Do booked through Scene+ Travel | Extra 3x per $1 (up to 4x in total) |
| Eligible travel and all other purchases | 1x per $1 |
Scene+ points can be used for travel through Scene+ Travel or against a travel purchase charged to the card, and for groceries, entertainment, account credit and retail. Scotiabank's own examples work out to roughly 1 cent per point (20,000 points = $200 off travel), and minimums apply to some redemptions.

Scotiabank Passport FAQs
Does the Scotiabank Passport charge foreign transaction fees?
No. Scotiabank states that the Passport Visa Infinite+ charges no foreign transaction fee, so only the exchange rate applies. That is a clear advantage over cards that add a 2.5% commission to purchases in other currencies.
How many lounge visits does the Passport include?
It includes 6 complimentary lounge visits a year through the Visa Airport Companion Program, which Scotiabank describes as covering 1,200+ lounges. Enrolment is required, and the membership and visits renew each year on the enrolment anniversary. The price of extra visits is not stated on the product page.
What income do I need for the Passport?
Scotiabank gives ranges, starting at $60,000 personal income or $100,000 household income, or $250,000 in assets under management. A minimum credit limit of $5,000 also applies. Approval is always subject to credit review.
How does the Passport insurance work?
It lists emergency medical up to $2 million, trip cancellation up to $1,500 per person, trip interruption up to $2,500 per person, flight delay up to $500 and lost baggage up to $1,000. The trip cancellation and delay cover need at least 75% of the cost charged to the card. A pre-existing condition exclusion applies, so read the certificate.
Are Scene+ points good for travel?
Scene+ points can be used toward travel booked through Scene+ Travel or applied to a travel purchase on the card. Scotiabank's examples work out to about 1 cent per point. They are less valuable for airline-specific redemptions because they cannot be transferred to airline programs.
