TripRadr editorial: before you book
Our guidance, not a traveller review
- Check which airline and flight times come with the package, as flights now operate on WestJet.
- Confirm the baggage allowance for your fare, which can differ between packages.
- Compare the resort's room type and meal plan on each site, not only the total.
- Read the cancellation and change terms before you pay, and check whether you can earn WestJet Rewards on your booking.
How Radr Reviews are verified and moderated
Every review is checked by a moderator before it appears, whether it praises or criticises Sunwing Vacations. Moderators remove spam, duplicates, fraud, threats, personal information and off-topic content. They never reject a review because it is negative. Each review carries one of these labels:
- Unverified experience
- No booking evidence or TripRadr click-out is on file for this review.
- TripRadr click-out
- The reviewer clicked through from TripRadr to this provider while signed in. This does not prove they booked.
- Verification pending
- The reviewer submitted booking evidence that TripRadr has not reviewed yet.
- Verified booking
- TripRadr reviewed booking evidence from the reviewer, or a reliable provider integration confirmed the booking.

How are Sunwing Vacations reviews on TripRadr checked?
Every review is moderated before it is published, whether it is positive or negative. Moderators check for spam, duplicates, fraud, threats, personal information and off-topic content, and never reject a review for being critical. Each review is labelled by what TripRadr can confirm: a verified booking, a TripRadr click-out (which does not prove a booking), or an unverified experience.
How is Sunwing Vacations different from other Canadian vacation providers?
Sunwing Vacations is described on TripRadr as: Sunwing Vacations is a Toronto-based Canadian tour operator that sells all-inclusive and resort packages to sun destinations, owned by WestJet Group since 2023. TripRadr compares its packages with other Canadian travel sites. Reviews show how travellers found booking and service, while the comparison shows price. Use both: compare the same resort, dates and departure airport across providers, then read what travellers said about the ones you are considering.
Can I compare Sunwing Vacations vacation packages with other companies?
Yes. Search a resort, a departure airport, a date and the number of nights on TripRadr to see the same package priced across the Canadian travel sites it checks, side by side. TripRadr does not sell or book trips: you book on the provider's site.
What is Sunwing Vacations?
Sunwing Vacations is a Canadian tour operator based in Toronto. It sells all-inclusive and resort packages to sun destinations and is part of WestJet Group.
Is Sunwing the same as WestJet Vacations?
They are separate brands under the same group. WestJet bought Sunwing in 2023, and both Sunwing Vacations and WestJet Vacations now sell packages that fly on WestJet.
Does Sunwing still have its own airline?
No. Sunwing Airlines ended operations on May 28, 2025, and Sunwing Vacations packages now use WestJet flights.
