TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite FAQs

What is the annual fee on the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite?

The fee is $139 a year. TD rebates the first-year fee for the primary cardholder if you activate the card and make a first purchase within 3 months. The fee is rebated every year if you hold a TD All-Inclusive Banking Plan.

Does the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite give free checked bags?

Yes. TD states the first checked bag is free (up to 23 kg) for you and up to 8 companions on the same reservation, on Air Canada, Rouge or Express flights. On a family trip this can offset much of the fee.

How are Aeroplan points earned on this card?

You earn 1.5 points per dollar on gas, EV charging, groceries and purchases made directly with Air Canada, on up to $80,000 of those purchases a year. Other purchases earn 1 point per dollar. Fees, cash advances and interest do not earn points.

Does the card charge foreign transaction fees?

Yes. TD charges a 2.5% foreign currency conversion fee on purchases in other currencies, according to its published guidance. If most of your spending abroad is on the card, a no-fee card may cost you less.

How long is the travel medical coverage?

TD lists emergency medical cover of up to $2 million for the first 21 days if you are under 65, and the first 4 days if you or your spouse is 65 or older. Top-up coverage is available. Trip and delay cover need most or all of the trip paid with the card or points.
